Chris Pratt Praises RFK Jr. & Trump Administration as Hollywood Seethes

2 days ago 10

Actor Chris Pratt broke from the usual Hollywood script during his appearance on Bill Maher’s “Club Random” podcast. Known for steering clear of divisive politics, Pratt took a risk by siding with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., now Secretary of Health and Human Services in the Trump administration. What stood out was Pratt’s praise for Kennedy’s fight to get toxic chemicals and harmful additives out of children’s food, and his criticism of Democrats who seem willing to attack anything connected to Trump, even when it comes to protecting kids.

Maher applauded Kennedy for sticking to his beliefs, saying, “Your father would be so proud that you stuck to your guns… You cannot move him off of it with your bribes.” Pratt agreed, calling Kennedy’s conviction “a virtue,” a word you rarely hear used by Hollywood stars when speaking about figures in the Trump administration.

Pratt went further, describing Kennedy’s goal of cleaning up the food supply as “a great thing” and a policy that should be bipartisan. In a video clip, he expressed hope Kennedy could get “terrible, toxic stuff out of our kids’ food.” He then turned his criticism toward Democrats who respond to anything positive under Trump with blind hostility. “I’d hate to be so mired in hatred for the president… I’ll put Clorox in my children’s cereal myself… Come on, be reasonable,” Pratt said, mocking what he saw as a knee-jerk rejection of even common-sense reforms.

Maher, who disagrees with Kennedy’s vaccine positions, still admitted, “He’s not crazy,” and credited Kennedy for his environmental work and authenticity. Pratt agreed that results matter more than party politics, saying, “There’s certain things that would be a good thing to have. I want them all to be successful.”

Kennedy has zeroed in on problems that affect millions of American families, pointing to rising rates of allergies, diabetes, and other chronic conditions. Yet Democrats have often dismissed his proposals simply because he now serves in the Trump administration. Pratt’s willingness to show support highlights how far Hollywood groupthink has gone; praising a policy about children’s health is now considered risky for actors if it can be tied in any way to Trump.

Social media reactions to the clip were largely supportive. One viewer wrote that Pratt’s willingness to speak his mind shows integrity, even as many of his peers in Hollywood remain silent or join the echo chamber. By stepping outside the Hollywood bubble, Pratt positioned himself as a rare figure in entertainment willing to put common sense above partisan politics.
