Civil War: War Crimes #1 (2007): Slyde dies

This one-shot has Tony Stark visiting Kingpin in jail. They play chess, and we the readers learn that Kingpin is feeding information to Stark. It’s clearly intended to show how low Tony Stark will go to achieve his goals.

It also has a scene where Underworld, the dude from this miniseries, kills Slyde.

Underworld is never used again.

Kingpin uses this information to get Iron Man to kill Hammerhead.

Slyde’s really dead. Hammerhead isn’t.
