Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney has joined forces with a company to make a special bar of soap. This soap is unique because it contains some of her actual bathwater. The idea blurs the line between Hollywood celebrities and other online personalities.
On Thursday, Dr. Squatch announced on social media a new limited-edition soap called “Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss.” The soap is reportedly made with Sweeney’s real bathwater.
Why did they make this soap? The company says, “Because y’all wouldn’t stop asking. And Sydney said, ‘Let’s do it.’ (what a legend).”
The soap’s scent is called “Morning Wood,” which if you don’t get the joke, I can’t help you.
Sweeney posted on Instagram, “You kept asking about my bathwater after the [Dr. Squatch] ad… so we kept it.” She described the soap as “A very real, very limited-edition soap made with my actual bathwater.”
The Dr. Squatch ad that Sweeney is referring to dropped back in October. In it, Sweeney sits in a bathtub and talks about the company’s different soap scents.
“Hello, you dirty little boys,” Sweeney starts in the video. “Are you interested in my body… wash? Well, you can’t have it, because this isn’t for boys. It’s for men.”
Dr. Squatch also posted a TikTok ad. In it, they show Sweeney’s bathwater being collected from the tub and poured over a bar of soap before it gets packaged for sale.
Besides selling the soap, Dr. Squatch is giving away 100 bars in a contest that ends on June 4.
“Remember this commercial? (I know you do),” the company said. “Sydney was down to use that bathwater to create this soap. I know you want to shower with Sydney.”
Right now, “Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss” is not available yet. The company says, “But we’ll have a VERY limited stock when they do drop! Keep an eye out for an announcement.”
