The following contains major spoilers for Daredevil #21, on sale now from Marvel Comics.
Daredevil's latest nightmarish journey is forcing him to relive one of his darkest moments, and not as the hero.
Daredevil #21 finds the titular hero yet again experiencing the same nightmare that has been plaguing him for weeks. In this terrifying vision, Matt's younger self is running for his life from a massive demonic presence, all while adorned in his arch-enemy Bullseye's classic costume. Unfortunately, the only escape from this demonic pursuer is off the edge of a rooftop, and just like the real Bullseye before him, the only thing left to catch Matt as he falls is the cold, hard street below, and things don't get any better when that landing rouses him from his slumber.

It was in the pages of the recently released Daredevil #19 when the infamous assassin known as Bullseye met his most recent lethal end. At the time, Bullseye was one of the then-latest victims of the demonic manifestation of Matt Murdock's own Wrath. When Matt returned from Hell after his confrontation with the Beast of The Hand, his inner sins were given life of their own, setting off a series of epic confrontations against some of Daredevil's closest friends and heroic allies, all of whom were possessed.
Although the death of Bullseye at the hands of Matt's own Wrath was certainly shocking, it wasn't the first time that the villain had met his mortal end. Bullseye's previous death was even more directly caused by Daredevil, who was himself under the control of a demonic influence when he cut his longtime foe down in cold blood. Fortunately for him, it wasn't all that long until Bullseye was brought back to life by Lady Bullseye, who employed ancient Hand rituals to give her predecessor a second chance.
