The following contains major spoilers for Daredevil #19, on sale now from Marvel Comics.
Daredevil just watched his deadliest enemy lose their life all over again.
Daredevil #19 picks up right where the previous issue left off, with the titular hero standing atop a New York City skyscraper while staring down the demonic embodiment of his own Wrath. After months of being hounded by his own demons, Matt Murdock has finally come face-to-face with the worst of them all. Though the hero knows he can't, Wrath forces Daredevil to choose between saving the life of his best friend, Foggy Nelson, or his worst enemy, Bullseye. And, although Matt very clearly does everything he can to save them both, there is simply nothing he can do to stop Bullseye from hitting the ground for the very last time.

Introduced in the pages of 1975's Daredevil #131 by Marv Wolfman and William Robert Brown, Bullseye is one of the most feared assassins in the entire Marvel Universe. Otherwise known only as Lester, the villain's past is mired in mystery. At a certain point, Lester attempted to embark upon a career as a Major League Baseball pitcher, though this quickly gave way to the life of a government agent. After his time working for the National Security Agency, Bullseye made his way into the private sector, which provided him with even greater opportunities to follow his murderous calling.
Not all that long into his career as a costumed criminal, Bullseye crossed paths with Daredevil, establishing a deep-seated rivalry and outright hatred between the two. Over the years, Bullseye has been at the heart of some of Daredevil's darkest moments, including being the one responsible for the murder of Elektra Natchios. This would be repaid when Matt murdered Bullseye in kind during the events of Marvel Comics' Shadowland storyline, though the villain would soon enough be resurrected by Lady Bullseye using ancient rituals employed by The Hand.

Throughout Daredevil's latest saga, the hero has been pulled between two vastly different worlds. Upon Matt's own trip to and from the bowels of Hell, he took up the white collar of a priest, as well as a new home within the walls of St. Nicks. Tragically, even becoming a priest wasn't enough to keep Matt's literal demons at bay, who manifested on Earth and began possessing those closest to Daredevil. Since then, the hero has faced off against everyone from Elektra to Wolverine to Foggy Nelson, all of whom have fallen victim to the absolute worst parts of Daredevil made flesh.
