DC Officially Confirms Absolute Batman Publishing Exclusives For San Diego Comic Con

Just like any other year, there is a lot to look forward to at 2026's San Diego Comic-Con. Just as anyone paying attention to the comic book industry in the past two years would expect, Absolute Batman will likely be all the rage.

In fact, fans of the entire Absolute Universe line will have something to anticipate at the biggest annual event in geek culture. There will be exciting panels, meet-up opportunities with all the best creators, and DC Comics publications that only SDCC attendees can get their hands on.

Absolute Batman SDCC Exclusives Confirmed By DC

There is bound to be a legion of comic book lovers eager to see some special merchandise related to one of the industry's biggest modern success stories at San Diego Comic-Con. Indeed, there is, as DC Comics has already confirmed that fans can find plenty of exclusive Absolute Batman content at the four-day event.

For instance, a special reprint of Absolute Batman #1 (which has been reprinted 11 times already) with a foil variant cover designed by married artists J. Scott Campbell and Tanya Lehoux will be available in limited supply. There will also be a convention-exclusive edition of the groundbreaking series' first volume, Absolute Batman Vol. 1: The Zoo, featuring a cover designed by Dan Mora.

There is even a convention-exclusive special edition from the series that has been created by DC for release on eBay. Fans who purchase said convention-exclusive variant of Absolute Batman #22, which was released on July 8, 2026, online will receive the opportunity to have it signed by the cover artist, Bill Sienkiewicz.

Outside of the publishing exclusives, DC also has plenty of fun merchandise for fans of Scott Snyder's wild reinvention of the Dark Knight to get their hands on, such as an SDCC exclusive Absolute Batman Funko POP! vinyl figure. The publisher has also collaborated with Upper Deck and Shoe Palace to create an Absolute Batman #1 Bundle Set, which includes a foil variant edition of the now-iconic first issue and a special trading card and T-shirt featuring art by Nick Dragotta.

Additional Absolute Universe SDCC Exclusives Will Be Available

DC's Trinity looking edgier than usual in the Absolute Universe

Absolute Batman may be the crown jewel of the Absolute Universe in terms of sales. However, fans of the entire lineup will have their hands especially full with exclusive offerings at San Diego Comic-Con.

For instance, limited-printing foil covers for multiple titles will be up for grabs, from Terry Dodson and Rachel Dodson's redesign of Absolute Superman #1 to an Absolute Catwoman #1 variant by Jay Anacleto and Romulo Fajardo Jr., and plenty more. Special editions of the first volumes of Absolute Superman and Absolute Wonder Woman, with cover art by Dan Mora, and DC K.O.: A DC Comics Event, featuring Javi Fernández and Alejandro Sánchez's redesigned cover, will also be present.

In addition to a new Absolute Batman-inspired T-shirt coming to the DC merchandise booth at SDCC, fans of Absolute Green Arrow and Absolute Catwoman will be able to add new designs to their wardrobe. Bill Sienkiewicz also has an eBay exclusive variant cover for Absolute Catwoman #2 that he will be available to sign.

Plus, Funko Pop! has vinyl figures of both Absolute Superman and Absolute Wonder Woman coming to SDCC, as well as Absolute Batman. That means that some lucky attendees may be able to complete the Absolute Trinity if they are willing to spend a combined $120.

Of course, Absolute Universe fans are not going to want to miss out on the opportunity to see the imprint's overseer, Scott Snyder, in person, such as at DC's Gotham City panel on Friday, July 24, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in Room 6DE, or the following day's Absolute Universe panel, also featuring creators like Nick Dragotta and Absolute Catwoman writer Che Grayson among others, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., also in 6DE.

San Diego Comic-Con 2026 takes place between Thursday, July 23, and Sunday, July 26, at San Diego Convention Center.
