DC’s Best Comic Almost Had a Completely Different, Too-Vulgar Title

DC Comics' Absolute Martian Manhunter recently came to its planned conclusion with issue #12, officially ending one of the strangest, most fascinating stories from DC Comics in recent memory. Writer Deniz Camp delivered a brain-melting narrative that was perfectly brought to life by Javier Rodriguez's abstract artwork, and both succeeded in delivering a unique approach to the Martian Manhunter mythos. However, if DC's Absolute architect, Scott Snyder, had his way, the book would have had a title that got straight to the point a lot quicker than the title it ended up with. While a comical approach to a character who is usually portrayed as one of the more resigned members of the Justice League, it'd be difficult to argue that the originally planned title didn't describe the story Camp and Rodriguez gifted DC Comics fans with to a T.
