Fan-favorite writer of The UltimatesDeniz Camp is soon set to launch his hotly-anticipated Assorted Crisis Events series from Image Comics and CBR has an exclusive preview of the series below.
Per a press release from Image Comics, fans get their first look at the world of Camp's upcoming series, Assorted Crisis Events, which takes place in a reality where time itself is no longer a universal constant. "I am so pleased to get to share the absurd, heartbreaking horror of Assorted Crisis Events, a series about regular people trying to survive in a world in which time itself is breaking down, and life seems to be an endless string of crises," Camp said. "Expect experimentation, invention, and reinvention with every issue—along with deeply personal stories of people trying to go to work in the middle of world war three (or is it four?)."
Acclaimed writer Brian K. Vaughan comments on the renewed success of his prescient 2015 comic series We Stand On Guard.

Image Comics' own official synopsis for Assorted Crisis Events explains, "Time is having a crisis. Mingling in the red-light district, you can find actual cavemen, medieval knights, and cyborg soldiers on leave from World War IV. Victorian debutantes amble their way into cell phone stores, confused and bewildered (what is a data plan?). On their way to work, bleary-eyed commuters get trapped in time-loops, assaulted by alternate-reality versions of themselves, and try to avoid post-apocalyptic wastelands. And LOOK: the 3:15 bus just took a wrong turn... into the neolithic era."
Artist Eric Zawadski offered his own high praise for Assorted Crisis Events, noting, "This is a dream project for me." Zawadski continued, "Everyone on the team is working at such a high level. Jordie Bellaire is constantly pushing the boundaries of storytelling through colour and Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou's lettering is so incredibly inventive and fun to experience on every page. And every script that Deniz sends me has a perfect mix of heart, humour, tragedy and drama. I couldn't ask for anything more as an artist making comics."
Image Comics rushes its new title, Bug Wars, back to print after the debut issue sells out at the distributor level.
Along with Camp and Zawadski, Assorted Crisis Events boasts Eisner Award-winning colorist Jordie Bellaire and Eisner Award-winning letterer Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou. Assorted Crisis Events is set to play out across a series of short stories and vignettes that will take readers across nearly every corner and era of its strange, ever-shifting world.
