Yesterday, DSTLRY unveiled White House Robot Romance, an ingenious, timely new comics project from Eisner-winning writer Chip Zdarsky, best known for his work on celebrated titles like TIME WAITS, Batman, and Daredevil, and talented artist Rachael Stott, famed for her contributions to the Doctor Who and Star Trek comic book series. Rounding out the creative team are expert colorist Tamra Bonvillain and letterer by Ariana Maher.
White House Robot Romance is a captivating science-fiction romance that tells the story of two kitchen-bound robots who, breaking free from their programming, find themselves in the middle of a political upheaval that could lead to a war between America and Canada. When Chef-9 discovers that Service-1 is about to be deactivated, he makes a bold decision: to leave his post, ignore the rules, and escape with Service-1 into the bustling streets of Washington, D.C. However, this desperate act ignites an international uproar. Service-1 houses top-secret information that could shift the power dynamic between the two nations. As tensions rise and the military mobilizes, these rogue robots become the target of both government agents and corporate spies.

I’m channeling my love of classic sci-fi, espionage thrillers, and of course, star-crossed romance. Bringing these characters to life and making them feel human has been an exciting experience.”
Every issue of the series will be printed in DSTLRY’s stunning Prestige format. Each issue boasts wraparound covers with a sleek spot gloss on durable cover stock and 48 beautifully crafted interior pages.
