After being able to leap over tall box office expectations with over $580 million taken in at the international box office, James Gunn's Superman will be arriving on Digital and VOD platforms like Prime Video, AppleTV, and Fandango at Home on Aug. 15.
Ahead of its much-anticipated arrival on digital (which will be followed by releases on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on Sept. 23), the highest-grossing superhero movie of 2025 has shared an exclusive clip with CBR of a fan-favorite fight sequence in the film that helped to gain one of Superman's fellow superheroes a legion of new fans.
Mister Terrific Takes Down a Pile of Bad Guys Effortlessly
In the exclusive clip, shown above, Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan) had gone to the Justice Gang to ask for their help in rescuing a captured Superman from Lex Luthor. Green Lantern (Guy Gardner) and Hawkgirl were hesitant to get involved, especially after Lex Luthor leaked the fact that Superman's parents sent young Kal-El to Earth to conquer it. However, Mister Terrific (Edi Gathegi) agrees to help Lois find Superman.
They track the Man of Steel to a Luthor base where an interdimensional gate is housed. Mister Terrific exits his ship, and while protecting Lois Lane the whole time, he dismantles Luthor's mercenaries effortlessly, all while Noah and the Whale's "5 Years Time" plays.
James Gunn is famous for his use of "needle drops" (the term referring to the use of established songs on a film's soundtrack), and he has explained that the songs are part of how he writes his films, telling NME. "I write all of the songs into the screenplay, and then those songs we play on set as we do the scenes."
