Thing and Human Torch return to Nu World for a visit, with Franklin and Valeria hiding as stowaways.
Ted Castle and his wife Alyssa Moy are there, with latter being just a brain in an instectoid-robot body.
Alyssa Moy used to be Reed Richards’ girlfriend. She had a better body back then…Or at least she had a body back then.Castle was the creator of Nu World—from the (pretty bad) Mark Millar run. He tells Johnny, Ben, Franklin and Valeria that eight years have passed in Nu World time and Lightwave, Psionics, and Ultron-Robots have taken over. Thing is captured and thrown in a cell alongside Hulk Junior (also from the Millar run).
They escape and Hulk Jr. kills Psionics by smashing her head.
Then, the Earth 616 visitors go home while Hulk Jr. remains behind to fight for Nu World.
Apparently, Millar’s New Defenders team and the Old Man Logan world will bleed across into Hickman’s Fantastic Four. I don’t think I adequately tagged them all in the past, but we’ll try to fix that going forward. I can’t say I’m thrilled about this—I really wanted to put Millar’s FF run into my distant memory, but here we are.
Meanwhile, Valeria is becoming a genius.
