Fantastic Four – Volume 07 Issue 32

“The Fantastic One”

The last thing Valeria Richards remembered was the temporal maelstrom tearing apart the Fantasti-car. The energy from the blast sent each member of her family scattering through space. Her mother’s energy bubbles made little difference in protecting Franklin, Jo-Venn, or N’kalla. The vortex vaporized each one of them in non-sequential order.

Then, Valeria awoke on Earth. But not her Earth, or even her own body. Who was she, and how did this Earth survive without a version of The Fantastic Four? The Mole Man invasion alone would have brought the world’s governments to their knees. It was time for “Not” Valeria to do what she does best. Investigate!

What became of Earth’s favorite superhero family? How did this alternate Earth survive without The Fantastic Four? Who is Mary Richards? Collect the series to find out!

Reviewer Notes

Where is Loki and the Time Variance Authority to clean up this mess? We’ll, at least we didn’t see beta-male Ben Grimm in this issue. Did I mention I hate Beta-Ben? [See my previous reviews]

This was a really well-thought-out issue with several surprise reveals. Mutants rejoice! This Earth sucks the big one, unfortunately. I give Fantastic Four #32 five out of five stars. Valeria, Franklin, Jo-Venn, and N’kalla have really shined in this series. I hope to see them in future adaptations of The Fantastic Four. They really do deserve page time.
