The legendary Frank Miller is lending his talents to a brand-new variant cover for one of the Spawn Universe's hottest 2025 titles.
Per a press release from Image Comics, the iconic Frank Miller has stepped up to join in all the horrifying action that has arisen from the pages of The Curse of Sherlee Jackson by writer Daniel Henriques and artist Jonathan Glapion. Readers can see the main cover art for the series' upcoming third issue below, as well as variant cover art by Henriques himself and an inked variant of Miller's own brutal cover for the issue.

- Sherlee and the Stranger survive — but at a cost. The weight of what happened won't let go. A distant camp offers hope, but danger moves in the shadows. Something ancient awakens, and what falls from above may not be salvation. As Heaven arrives and Beliafon strikes, old truths rise — and the past won’t stay buried.
The young Sherlee Johnson is one of the most tragic figures in the entire Spawn Universe, having been seen all the way back in the original series' fifth issue just long enough to establish her as the then-latest victim of child murderer Billy Kinkaid. While Al Simmons, aka Spawn, wasn't fast enough to save the seven-year-old Sherlee's life, that doesn't mean her story was over. In fact, The Curse of Sherlee Jackson has given readers the chance to see exactly what happened to the poor child's spirit after her untimely demise, and it is nothing like the happy ending she deserved.
Spawn creator Todd McFarlane said of Miller's addition to the series, "One of the great pleasures of being in the comic book industry is getting the chance to collaborate with friends of ours. That is always fun. And when that friend is also the insanely gifted Frank Miller, well, it just makes that fun multiply. Frank has made an historic mark on our industry and to be able to work with him once again after decades… I feel like a giddy kid again." McFarlane added, "And for those who haven’t yet had the chance to read an issue of The Curse Of Sherlee Johnson, I think you are missing a uniquely wicked comic book experience from Daniel and Jonathan."
Henriques said of the announcement, "Having Frank Miller do a cover for our book still feels unreal. Then to have Frank Miller and Todd McFarlane together on the same piece… that’s something I never even dreamed could happen. I’ve looked up to these gentlemen my whole life, and their support has been one of the highlights of my career. Whoever said, ‘don’t meet your heroes’ has clearly never met Frank and Todd."
The Curse of Sherlee Johnson #3 goes on sale this September from Image Comics.
