Rich Buckler (shown here with the great Neal Adams) has done a lot in comics, but you might not know that he was one of the organizers of the first annual comic book convention, “Detroit Triple Fan Fair.” He had a two-year run on Fantastic Four; helped launch the Black Panther feature in Jungle Action; drew the famous Death of Jean DeWolff story; gave George Perez his first comic book job; and created Deathlok and DC’s All-Star Squadron.

That’s a lot!

Rich, rest in peace and thanks for all you did for my favorite art form!
