At the end of last issue, Ant Man stowed away in Carol Danvers’ purse. He didn’t KNOW it was Ms. Marvel’s purse, but he figures it out when he sees her registration card.

He fantasizes about whether she has a giant penny in her hideout—which is a Batman reference.

After watching her shower, he finds himself in the middle of a big Mighty Avengers battle. I suppose this is fun, but his constant “pervyness” is wearying and distracts. Plus, he’s just not likeable at all and it’s hard to have fun with him.

Oddly, that sequence happens in issue #7 but it’s featured on the cover to #8, above. I guess Marvel really wanted to get its money worth for that shower scene.
When the big fight is over, Ant-Man actually does something heroic, helping a little girl who is pinned under rubble, and meets the all new Damage Control.

Their mission now is to arrive before the end of fights and try to reduce damage or mitigate harm to humans. He goes on a mission with them involving She-Hulk. He also steals some jewelry from the fight site, reaffirming that he’s still a thief at heart.
I like the new direction for Damage Inc. and overall these issues are stronger than the ones that preceded them.
