A new report says that the upcoming second season of Daredevil: Born Again will help set up the long rumored second season for another MCU series… but not the one you might expect. With the new series one episode away from concluding and season two already being filmed, it would seem obvious for Marvel to focus on some of the other former Netflix series like Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist or bring the whole band back together with the Defenders… and while they have already announced a Punisher special edition, the second season of Born Again is said to be setting up the long rumored second season of Hawkeye.
The connection between the two series has already been established with the Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) being the big bad of the first Hawkeye series and introducing Echo who then had her own series where Charlie Cox’s Daredevil cameoed, and now the Swordsman (Tony Dalton) from Hawkeye is showing up in Born Again… so the links are well established. There has been talk about a second Hawkeye series for a long while now with the belief it would be done in a single location similar to Die Hard or The Raid. The report says that characters from Born Again season two will carry over into Hawkeye’s return along with Clint Barton’s brother, Trickshot.
All of this is still rumored, but all the pieces fit together really well.
