Judge Dredd Returns In Crossover With Biker Mice From Mars

Pitting just about any character against Judge Dredd makes for an interesting conflict. It does not matter what offense the adversary in question is accused of or how severe, because the dystopian lawman will stop at nothing to bring them to justice as he sees fit.

However, a new partnership between Oni Press and Rebellion may have conjured the most bewilderingly absurd crossover with the iconic character imaginable. This year, Dredd is going to mee the Biker Mice from Mars.

Judge Dredd/Biker Mice From Mars Comes Winter 2026

Judge Dredd has encountered quite a few strange beings and phenomena during his tenure as judge, jury, and executioner in Mega-City One. Yet, crossing paths with a group of Martian, motorcycle-riding, anthropomorphic rodents is sure to be a new experience for him.

Said unusual match-up will take place in Judge Dredd/Biker Mice From Mars, which sees the anti-heroic Throttle, Vinnie, and Modo chasing after the power-hungry Limburger and Karbunkle across alternate realities and ultimately landing in Mega-City One. Of course, their otherwordly appearance immediately makes them public enemies in the crime-ridden metropolis, putting the infamous Judge Dredd hot on their tails.

However, the dynamic between the lawman and furry travelers soon changes when Mega-City One falls prey to a new threat in the form of the inhuman Judge Death. Can Judge Dredd and the Biker Mice from Mars find the means within themselves to set aside their differences and work together?

The two-part Judge Dredd/Biker Mice From Mars is written by Dan Watters, who has written for the likes of DC's Batman and Image's Creepshow to name a few, and Ryan O'Sullivan of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War fame. Spanish artist Jordi Tarragona, known for The New 52-era Catwoman run, provides the artwork, and David Finch designs the cover, which variants by Karl Kerschl and Andrew Krahnke to be made available.

Created by writer John Wagner and artist Carlos Ezquerra, Judge Dredd made his debut nearly five decades ago in the second issue of the British weekly anthology comic 2000 AD before earning his own title in the early 1990s. Later that decade, in 1995, he was portrayed by Sylvester Stallone in Judge Dredd, and once again by Karl Urban in the more widely beloved action thriller Dredd from 2012.

Biker Mice from Mars, who exist in the transmedia franchise called the NacelleVerse, did not start out as a comic book, however, but as an animated series created by Rick Ungar in 1993, and featuring the voice talents of Rob Paulsen as Throttle, Dorian Harewood as Modo, and Ian Ziering as Vinnie. The squeaky cyclists expanded to comic books not long after the series' debut under Marvel, and would officially become a property of Oni Press in 2024.

Judge Dredd/Biker Mice From Mars is bound to be one of the most talked about comic book crossover events of the year. However, it is not the only occasion of this kind that the joint efforts of Oni Press and Rebellion have up their sleeves.

Judge Dredd/Biker Mice From Mars is the series that will kick off this year-long initiative of wild pairings, the rest of which have yet to be announced. It is possible that fans could receive a sneak peek of what is to come at 2026's San Diego Comic-Con.

There is also plenty for fans of Judge Dredd and Biker Mice from Mars to look forward to at SDCC this year. According to Bleeding Cool, those who check out the Rebellion Booth #2121 can receive a free Mega-City One parking ticket with an official Department of Justice stamp. Subsequently, getting a stamp at both the Nacelle Company booth #2547 and the Oni Press booth #1829 will earn attendees one of 500 limited prints of David Finch's Judge Dredd/Biker Mice From Mars cover art design.

Nacelle is also launching a line of action figures inspired by the crossover event. These collectibles will be available for pre-order in 2027.
