Love Romances v1 #81, 1959 - In the first of two the Matt Baker tales, a girl aspires to marry her boss, flitting from job to job to find the perfect one. In the second, a newlywed finds she can't complete with her new husband's ex-wife (now passed away). Baker's hand is obvious in both stories, despite not being attributed in some comic guides. There's a gracefulness to his pencils offset by Vince Coletta's selfish inking. Other artists in this issue include Jay Scott Pike. Russ Heath draws the splendid cover. This is 8 of 12 Love Romances issues by Baker.
