Love Romances v1 #82, 1959 - Two non-attributed Matt Baker stories appear in this otherwise unassuming issue. In the first, a young woman has plenty of suitors but no one she can fall in love with. The second tale tells of a high school girl who loses her seemingly "perfect" guy. In both, Baker's large opening panels carry the most impact. Unfortunately, overall his pencils are largely diminished by inker Vince Colletta. Many fine details are lost and even some of the faces are askew. "His Lips... or None" was later reprinted in Our Love Story #12 and My Love v2 #26, while "Better Late Than Never" later appeared in My Love v2 #12 and Our Love Story #26. Other artists in this golden age comic include John Forte and Jay Pike.
