A fan-favorite character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe will soon make an appearance in a special one-shot story releasing next month. It has been confirmed that Deadpool & Wolverine's Kidpool will star in a special team-up story with Spider-Boy.
When Marvel Studios' Deadpool & Wolverine was released earlier this year, Kidpool was one of the many Deadpool variants included in the movie's army of Deadpools, and now the breakout star will enter the Marvel Comics Universe and go on an adventure with the young sidekick Spider-Boy. Superstar writer Christopher Yost is joined by artists Nathan Stockman, Chris Campana and Jed Dougherty on Kidpool & Spider-Boy #1, which Marvel teases is a 'historic first meeting' as the foul-mouthed adolescent teams up with young Spider-Boy in a story where nothing is off limits. The one-shot comic issue goes on sale Dec. 25.

Marvel's solicit for the one-shot teases the adventures Kidpool and Spider-Boy will get up to among its pages, saying: "Will the Adolescent-Arachnid be able to keep the Murderous Middle-Grader from causing the return of the Comics Code? Unlikely! But Bailey is going to try. And could this all-new Kidpool be the very same one from the Multiverse-shattering movie? Nothing is off limits when it comes to the Merc with a Mouth!"
Ryan Reynold's Daughter Portrayed Kidpool in the MCU
The Marvel Cinematic Universe's Kidpool was one of the breakout stars of Deadpool & Wolverine, and the character was portrayed by Ryan Reynolds' daughter Inez. The film's version of Kidpool was named Wanda Wilson, and the character joined the Deadpool Corps while in the Void located at the End of Time, which was Cassandra Nova's domain in the film. Nova tasked the Deadpool Corps with attacking and stopping Deadpool and Wolverine, leading to a bloody brawl between the Corps and the titular stars of the film.

Marvel Just Gave Fans a Heartbreaking Answer to Which Half of the X-Men’s Fastball Special Is Stronger
Marvel has finally answered a decades-old question about which of two iconic mutants would survive a fight with the other half of the Fastball Special
Deadpool & Wolverine has gone on to become one of the highest-grossing films of 2024 as well as the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time. The film integrated Deadpool into the MCU as well as many other characters whose actors reprized their roles from earlier Marvel films. Dafne Keen's Laura Kenney, Jennifer Garner's Elektra, Wesley Snipes' Blade, Chris Evans' Johnny Storm and Channing Tatum's Gambit all appeared in the film and entered the MCU's continuity. Now, with Kidpool & Spider-Boy #1, Marvel seems keen to integrate the film's fan-favorite characters even further in its comics world, and it may even be likely that these multiverse characters will continue to appear in other MCU projects in the future.
Kidpool & Spider-Boy #1 can be pre-ordered now ahead of its Dec. 25 release by Marvel Comics.
