More than 20 years after JLA/Avengers hit comic book store shelves, Marvel and DC are officially crossing over again. First announced with a Batman/Deadpool crossover, the scope of the collaboration just got a lot bigger.
Per a press release from both publishers, Marvel/DC: Deadpool/Batman #1, set for release on September 17, will not only feature a main story pairing Wade Wilson with The Dark Knight, but now includes three newly announced backup stories starring Daredevil, Green Arrow, Captain America, Wonder Woman, Krypto, and Jeff the Land Shark—each with an all-star creative team attached.

Kevin Smith, Chip Zdarsky, And Kelly Thompson Headline Surprise Stories Revealed In Latest Press Release
The press release, in addition to the lineup, revealed first-look covers for the shorts. Variant covers by Marco Checchetto, Gurihiru, and a wraparound from Greg Capullo accompany each story. "We’re going to all corners of the Marvel and DC Universes,” said Marvel Editor Mark Basso. “The creators are having an absolute blast finding the unexpected and unexplored connections between these characters.”
First, Daredevil/Green Arrow reunites Kevin Smith with characters he’s written before for both companies. This time, the multi-hyphenate creator teams with Adam Kubert on art, with a new cover by Marco Checchetto. Then Captain America/Wonder Woman arrives courtesy of Chip Zdarsky and Terry Dodson—Zdarsky described the match-up as “genuinely exciting,” calling both heroes “warriors for peace.” Finally, Jeff the Land Shark/Krypto adds some family-friendly irreverence to the affair. Writer Kelly Thompson called the story “a historic moment,” adding, “Anyone who loves comics knows how rare it is for DC and Marvel to crossover, so Jeff getting to be part of this… well, sometimes this job is very cool.” Gurihiru provides both art and a variant cover for the story.

While not a line-wide event, the project is still fully co-published with sign-off from both sides. It sounds like there's more to come, though. Basso teased that Deadpool/Batman may only be the beginning:
