My Own Romance #72

My Own Romance v1 #72, 1959 - No Jack Kirby cover, despite what some price guides say, but the issue does contain a pair of Matt Baker tales. In both, a young woman pines for a handsome co-worker with varying degrees of success. The works are uncredited, but clearly by his hand. His gentle style emerges despite the inker's sloppy finishes. Still, neither story meets Baker's usual standards. Other artists in this golden age comic include Jay Scott Pike. This is 12 of 14 My Own Romance issues by Baker.
