Nathan Fillion's Dark Midwest Noir Series First Look Revealed

Dark Horse Comics is preparing to launch its next most captivating noir comic, penned by a long-time television star, and CBR can share a look at the first issue's early pages.

Stepping away from the screen, Nathan Fillion has teamed up with Heath Corson (From the World of Minor Threats: The Brood, Animal Kingdom) and award-winning illustrator Soo Lee (Carmilla, Kingdom of Earth) to create a Midwestern-focused drama, Witness Point. There's more about Baraboo, Wisc., to be uncovered as readers venture deeper into the series. "Turns out, for the past forty years, every criminal, con man, and killer who flipped on their pals has been relocated to 'Witness Point.' Now, the long-suffering local sheriff, Carter 'Kite' Calhoon, and a contentious deputy marshal, Priya Khabrani, are forced together to solve the murder only days before the town’s beloved Harvest Festival. Which won’t be easy in the face of rising paranoia and tempers as everyone in Baraboo wonders just what kind of lowlife they’re living next to..."

What's Been Said About Witness Point So Far?

There's plenty of excitement stirring around Witness Point from the first issue and beyond. The creatives behind Dark Horse Comics' latest crime thriller have shared their own enthusiasm, stoking the anticipation behind such an intriguing title. There's a welcome familiarity about Witness Point that can already allow readers to feel the Midwest discomfort of Fargo or Wind River through an entirely new perspective.
