Do not be fooled by Disney. Despite their supposed retreat from the Marxist diversity, equity, and inclusion ideology, nothing has changed. The cultists at the top who pushed that ideology are still employed there, and as the saying goes, a leopard can’t change its spots. Although they will throw you a bone to keep you quiet, the gender confusion message is still being pushed behind the scenes.
Back in December, Disney announced they were reviving the popular television show, Malcolm in the Middle, with much of the original cast returning to their beloved characters. Hollywood creative bankruptcy aside, many old-school fans were happy to see what became of the Wilkerson family.
Longtime fans probably remember that after seven seasons, the series ended with Malcolm’s mother Lois, played by Jane Kaczmarek, having a positive pregnancy test. In the revival, this new sibling will be Kelly Wilkerson. Yahoo News describes the new character as such:
“Kelly, who will be played by Vaughan Murrae, is non-binary and is described as self-sufficient, gets good grades and is already wiser than most of the family.”

This is 2016 casting. It completely ignores people who have voiced with their wallets that they are tired of identity politics. It’s even more insulting that they are apparently making Kelly out to be another girl-boss, pretending that she has no gender, who is smarter and more capable than the characters people already have an affinity for. This approach is doomed to alienate old-school fans who don’t want to see their favorite characters humiliated by someone they don’t know while simultaneously driving away new viewers who are tired of seeing this cliche playout once again.
For me, this show is dead on arrival because Disney is being very duplicitous. Ten years ago they would have led with this casting to appease modern audiences, but their new strategy is to pepper their projects with subtle ideology to slowly push viewers into their cult. We have to remain vigilant to this indoctrination.
It’s time to admit that Disney is ideologically captured and will never learn.
