As part of The Initiative, Sasquatch, the sole surviving member of Alpha Flight, pulls together a group of new heroes. He asks Talisman (daughter of Shaman), but she says no. Then he gets beaten up by Wrecking Crew and she feels guilty so she changes her mind to yes.

They’re joined by Arachne (aka the Julia Carpenter version of Spider-Woman) and U.S. Agent (aka the awful version of Captain America), neither of whom are Canadian.
If you’re bored already, just wait for the punchline. The final member is Collective, who becomes the new version of Guardian. You know, THE GUY WHO KILLED ALL THE ORIGINAL MEMBERS OF ALPHA FLIGHT. Yeah, he was under thrall and all that but…Come on.

The new group gets pulled into another (yawn) Great Beasts conflict, and Beta Ray Bill is there too.

After they win that fight, they go beat up Wrecking Crew as revenge for the Crew beating up Sasquatch.
Sasquatch nearly kills Thunderball but decides not to because he’s better than that.

Cliches, lame characters who are poorly characterized with confusing or impossible motivations, pretty low-quality artwork (and I usually dig Scott Kolins), and thick plotting that clumsily brings the characters together. Bad comics.
