One World Under Doom – Volume 01 Issue 05

“One World Under Doom”

They return! In one quick move, Dormammu relieved Doom of the Eye of Agamotto. Then the armor of Doom was next. The battle turned in Dormammu’s favor as he rendered the Sorcerer Supreme lame with a broken arm and leg. Not all was as it seemed, however, as three protective spells were triggered by the assault.

A temporal loop was triggered, freezing the lord of the Dark Dimension for seconds. This brief moment in time was just enough for Doom’s real plan to take effect. The rescue of Earth’s heroes from their dimensional prison. With certain destruction there is always hope.

Will the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men put their differences aside long enough to defeat Dormammu? Is Doctor Doom more than his armor? Who is Frank Cooper of custodial services? Collect the series to find out!

Reviewer Notes

I refer to my previous review by stating this was an extremely fast ending to a battle that should have been epic. When you see an all-star game on television, people want to see something special. That’s not the case here. One World Under Doom #05 is beginning to mimic the Marvel Civil War plot of 2006. Come on, Thor. Are you that gullible?

I have to give this issue a meager three out of five stars. According to the message on the final page of this book, issue six will be delayed for two months. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this event ends with that release. My spidey-senses are tingling Civil War 03.
