
Chase is trying to get the Gibborim to bring Gertie back to life, and is willing to sacrifice his own live to get that. He steals Nico’s staff, knocks out Victor, but the team is able to stop the sacrifice and force the Gibborim to fade back into their own dimension, along with Alex Wilder (who, time displaced, was working with the Gibborim).


A fastball special is involved.

But…Those word balloons are pointing to the wrong voices. Molly should be the one saying, “Two Words Bub…”
When the team get back to their base, Iron Man is waiting to arrest them for violating the Registration Act. Between issue #24 and #25 is a one-shot by a fill-in team called “Runaways Saga” where the kids escape arrest and head back to New York—it’s basically a reset for the next creative team because issue #24 was the final issue for Brian Vaughan and Adrian Alphona.

Joss Whedon arrives next issue. He’ll do okay, but this book will never be as beloved as it was for the past 4 years.
