"Superman" Cast Touches Down in Manila to Launch Global Premiere Tour

The cast and filmmakers behind the highly anticipated Superman film have officially landed in Manila, kicking off the global promotional tour with a dynamic fan event held Thursday, June 19th, at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City. The first international stop on the Superman World Tour brought together stars, filmmakers, and fans in a massive celebration of the Man of Steel's return to the big screen.
Writer-director and co-producer James Gunn, co-producer Peter Safran, lead actor David Corenswet who stars as Superman/Clark Kent, and Rachel Brosnahan who plays Lois Lane were all in attendance to greet Filipino fans. The evening featured a red carpet event, autograph signings, a live Q&A, and a fireworks display, drawing enthusiastic crowds to the Music Hall.
Earlier in the day, the cast visited the Bridgetowne Open Grounds in Pasig City to see the towering sculpture known as The Victor, where they were welcomed by hundreds of fans, many of whom dressed in Superman-inspired attire to celebrate the occasion.
Following Manila, the Superman World Tour will continue to Rio de Janeiro on June 23rd, then to London on July 2nd, Paris on July 4th, Los Angeles on July 7th, New York on July 9th, and Beijing on July 10th. Check out the gallery of images from the Manila event below.
"Superman" opens in theaters and IMAX nationwide on July 11th and in various foreign territories on July 9th. The film stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, with Nicholas Hoult portraying the villainous Lex Luthor. The supporting cast includes Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, and more.
"Superman" is executive produced by Nikolas Korda, Chantal Nong Vo, and Lars Winther, and is based on characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
