Doctor Doom is taking over the world, and Sue Storm is channeling her inner Wonder Woman to stop him.
After the eponymous villain of One World Under Doom #1 declares himself the new ruler of the entire planet, Earth's Mightiest Heroes and their allies prepare to confront Doctor Doom on his own soil. Of course, getting to Latveria won't be easy, as Doom has set up all manner of shields and wards just waiting for a mystical attack on his homeland. Thankfully, the Invisible Woman is more than ready to give an ordinary passenger jet a new look, specifically one that won't be seen by anyone on the look for it.

The Invisible Plane, or Invisible Jet, is one of the earliest additions to the overarching Wonder Woman mythos, with its first appearance taking place all the way back in William Moulton Marston and Harry G. Peter's opening story from 1942's Sensation Comics #1, "Wonder Woman Arrives in Man's World." Although Wonder Woman herself has long been capable of flying, various iterations of her Invisible Plane have been of great use in situations where she needed to whisk groups of ordinary people out of, or groups of heroes into, harm's way. Apart from its numerous comic book appearances, the Invisible Plane has been an indelible part of numerous adaptations of the franchise, including the 1975 live-action Wonder Woman television series starring the iconic Lynda Carter.
One World Under Doom marks the culmination of months if not years of meticulous planning on the part of Doctor Doom. After attaining the mantle of Sorcerer Supreme during the events of Marvel Comics' Blood Hunt crossover event, Doom has sealed himself and the rest of Latveria away behind a mystical shield. Since then, the heroes of the world have been waiting with bated breath for Doom to emerge with some new grand scheme, though none of them could have ever expected that he would openly declare himself the new ruler of Earth so brazenly, let alone with such great success.

Writer Ryan North has spoken at great length about what fans can expect from One World Under Doom, both as an event and in terms of the limited series of the same name. "Things really kick off in One World Under Doom #2," North stated previously. "Doom is consolidating his power, and of course, the only thing that's really standing between him and his ambitions is The Fantastic Four. So, Doom simply solves that problem." Apart from the pages of the One World Under Doom series, the event is slated to spill over into the pages of over a dozen other Marvel Comics titles, including Amazing Spider-Man, Iron Man, Superior Avengers, and Weapon X-Men.
