The following contains major spoilers for Amazing Spider-Man #2, on sale now from Marvel Comics.
The Amazing Spider-Man's latest family reunion could bring him face-to-face with Marvel's Merc With a Mouth all over again.
After a harrowing hallucinatory experience brought about by some unseen foe, the titular hero of Amazing Spider-Man #2 finds himself investigating the possible connection between his experience and the Rhino's sudden heart attack. Upon making his way to the Ravencroft and being met with an icy reception on the part of Shay Marken, his alter ego's love interest and a psychiatric nurse at the Institute, Peter realizes that his hallucinations aren't as long gone as they first appeared. Worse still, the villain at the heart of this has made her way into Ravencroft alongside him, and Itsy Bitsy is more than happy to finally be reunited with one of her superpowered predecessors.

First seen in the pages of 2016's Spider-Man/Deadpool #8 by writer Joe Kelly and artist Ed McGuinness, the woman who would become Itsy Bitsy was initially a wide-eyed dreamer who fell into addiction after becoming disillusioned with the course of her life as a whole. Upon meeting Jack Hammer, then operating under the guise of the dreaded Patient Zero, she was given a chance to become something more than she ever could be on her own. Unfortunately, that meant undergoing a drastic procedure that forever changed her in ways she never could have imagined previously.
After being injected with genetic samples taken from both Deadpool and Spider-Man, she was subjected to a series of strange procedures that ultimately transformed her into Itsy Bitsy. In this new, six-armed, six-eyed, fanged form, Itsy Bitsy is capable of holding her own against almost anyone and anything that comes her way. Not only does Itsy Bitsy wield all of Spider-Man's powers and Deadpool's impossible healing factor, she is also able to spew a corrosive acid and secret pheromones that throw her opponents into a wild, blind rage.

Marvel’s Latest Predator Crossover Turns Spider-Man into the World’s Greatest Detective
The deadliest hunters in pop culture have officially set their sights on Spider-Man, and he is channeling his inner Batman to fight back against them.
Itsy Bitsy's assault on his senses and those around him is just the latest in a long line of major developments in Peter Parker's life since the end of Marvel Comics' "Eight Deaths of Spider-Man" event. Apart from coming face-to-face with his genetic "daughter" under the worst possible circumstances, Peter has been given a golden new opportunity thanks to someone he previously believed to be a long-lost childhood friend - Brian Nehring. While Brian was a decidedly negative influence on the future Spider-Man during his teenage years, he has still opened the door for Peter to take on the role of Supervising Engineer of Cooperative Disciplines at Rand Enterprises, which is precisely the kind of career win the Wall-Crawler has been in desperate search of for weeks.
Itsy Bitsy's return not only throws a wrench into Peter Parker's plans, but it opens up the doors for an always welcome team-up between Spider-Man and Deadpool. This is something MCU fans have been looking forward to ever since the Merc With a Mouth made the jump to Disney.
