The world of Black Mirror's "U.S.S. Callister" is coming to the realm of comics thanks to Neil Gibson's Twisted Comics.

Per Bleeding Cool, Twisted Comics has launched a Kickstarter campaign for their upcoming U.S.S. Callister, the first official graphic novel set in the world of Black Mirror. The comic will bre written by Neil Gibson and illustrated by Silvano Beltramo, with the pair leaning heavily into the fictional Space Fleet series that serves as the underlying in-universe inspiration for all the horror at the heart of "U.S.S. Callister."

IDW Publishing is turning its attention to a classic team of teenage mutant superheroes for a new comic book series, and it isn't the Ninja Turtles.

Per the Kickstarter page for Twisted Comics' U.S.S. Callister, "Immerse yourself in the dystopian worlds of BLACK MIRROR with the first-ever OFFICIAL GRAPHIC NOVEL: USS CALLISTER. The mind-bending anthology series has captivated millions of viewers for the past decade, revealing humanity's worst traits, greatest innovations and more. Soon you'll be able to experience classic episodes away from your screen and on comic book pages brought to life by Twisted Comics. The campaign for the launch title, USS Callister, written by Neil Gibson and illustrated by Silvano Beltramo, will take flight this summer, with other iconic BLACK MIRROR titles to follow. Sign up to the Kickstarter and get notified when the USS Callister is ready to board. You can also sign up to the newsletter to connect with the wider world of BLACK MIRROR comics. Although the preview pages for U.S.S. Callister are in black-and-white, the finished comic will be available in full color. To top things off, plans to adapt other fan-favorite Black Mirror episodes, such as "San Junipero," are already in the works. Alongside the preview images for U.S.S. Callister and concept art for Robert Daley, fans can catch a sneak peek at what San Junipero will look like when it arrives. The Kickstarter is currently slated to begin sometime this summer.

A Record Amount of Superman Merchandise is Hitting Shelves (& 1 Popular Character Leads the Way)

DC is about to unleash an absolute torrent of merchandise ahead of the release of James Gunn's Superman, and fans couldn't be happier.

The first episode of the fourth season of the hit anthology series Black Mirror, "U.S.S. Callister," stars Jesse Plemons as Robert Daly, the CTO of Callistere Inc., a massive VR gaming company behind a space-based MMORPG loosely based on the in-universe Space Fleet series. While Daly is meek and soft-spoken in the office, he harbors a cunning, charismatic, and infinitely cruel persona as Captain Daly within his own custom corner of the same game his company produces.

There, Daly creates self-aware, completely conscious versions of his coworkers to lord over and torment in some truly horrifying ways. The episode became an immediate fan-favorite upon its release in 2017, and currently stands as the only episode of Black Mirror to garner a sequel, which was released in the form of U.S.S. Callister: Into Infinity earlier this year.
