Dazzler comes home after a gig to find the word “Die” written in red spraypaint in her vandalized apartment. She needs a body guard so Professor X assigns her Wolverine, and Kitty gets to tag along and meet the pop star. Siryn also gets a chance to fill in as a back-up singer.
Wolverine also takes a shot at being a music critic.
The punchline is that the word in her apartment was actually “pie,” and Wolverine lets the attacker throw a pie in Dazzler’s face because he hates her disco music.
I liked this issue more than the others in this series. It was fun.
The issue ends with Wolverine revealing that even though Kitty was not paying attention, he was aware of the man the whole time and knew he was not a threat. Logan allowed the man to pie her because he hates disco.
