Eisner Award-winning writer Mike Baron (The Punisher, Badger) and acclaimed artist Richard Bonk (Vanguard, The Lock-Up) are nearly done with their thrilling new Sherlock Holmes graphic novel. First, they're asking for assistance in finishing the project via a freshly launched crowdfunding campaign aiming to bankroll the project's lettering and coloring phases.
Titled Sherlock Holmes: Leviathan, the action-packed adventure honors a trend started by the literary detective's creator Sir Arthur Conan Doyle: pairing Holmes with another fictional legend — in this case, Captain Nemo of Moby Dick fame. The unlikely pair joins forces to unravel the mystery of a missing freighter, a symptom of a larger, earth-shattering conspiracy. A first look accompanying the fundraising announcement puts the project's promise, Baron’s expert genre storytelling, and Bonk's slick illustration skills on full display. The sneak peek is a fitting first look—as enticing pitch as any imploring Sherlock Holmes fans to donate towards Baron and Bonk's campaign on either the Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or FundMyComic platforms.
