The following contains spoilers for Omega Kids #1, on sale next week from Marvel

As you are likely well aware by now, Marvel's X-Men titles are in the middle of a major new storyline called The Age of Revelation. The idea is that we are seeing what happens ten years into the future after Revelation, the heir to Apocalypse (and the former X-Men member known as Doug Ramsey), unleashed a deadly virus that has decimated the population and left Revelation ruling over a twisted landscape.

Perhaps the DARKEST aspect of this future landscape is that so many current X-Men heroes have joined in with Revelation, and in Omega Kids, we see how the now grown Kid Omega, Quentin Quiere, is working with Revelation, and training a new group of young mutants to be agents of Revelation. In this CBR exclusive preview of Omega Kids #1, we get to meet the young mutants, and see how Quire deals with them.

KID OMEGA’S ALL GROWN UP!

X YEARS LATER, Quentin Quire protects the dream of mutant supremacy and independence as head of the Revelation Territories’ spy network. But when a conspiracy threatens the mutant utopia, Quire and his psychic students will have to distinguish friend from foe. Has Quentin got what it takes to carry the dream forward, or will the next generation replace the former revolutionary?

32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99

In the preview pages, we see Quentin breaking down a mission that the kids went on, and asking them if they could see what they did wrong. This allows us to meet the four Omega Kids, namely Curtis (who cannot express himself verbally, so he has to communicate telepathically), Nell, Alya (who cannot see on her own, so she has to use telepathy to see what other people see), and Bailey (who, at 8 years old, is notably the only one of the Omega Kids who was born AFTER the Age of Revelation began).

None of them see what the problem is, as they committed the assassination that they were supposed to (at least Nell has enough humanity left that she questioned if perhaps what they did "wrong" was killing the woman), but Quentin points out that when they look back at the mission, there is a glitch. To find out what that glitch IS you'll need to pick up a copy of Omega Kids #1 next week to find out!
