The most mind-bending hero in DC Comics history is set to bring everyone together for the Absolute Universe's very first crossover event.

As seen in a video recently posted on social media, Absolute Batman writer Scott Snyder has officially confirmed that the Absolute Martian Manhunter will be leading the charge going into the Absolute Universe's first-ever crossover event. When asked for clarification regarding earlier comments on the role that DC's Absolute Martian Manhunter will play in the upcoming event, despite his own solo series coming to an end, Snyder replied, "He does. He plays a really big role in the event."

More details were given about the much-anticipated crossover, which will hopefully create more interconnectivity between the Absolute Universe at large. "He helps bring everybody together," Snyder continued. "And [Absolute Martian Manhunter writer] Deniz [Camp], we're all, we're not co-writing it. It's gonna be [Absolute Superman writer] Jason [Aaron] who's writing the actual thing, but we're all plotting it together. So Deniz is there, we're all in the room making it together. So it's really fun in that regard. It's like a big team effort. So Deniz is there, you know, telling his side of what Martian Manhunter will do."

The Absolute Universe's upcoming crossover event was first announced back in February by DC Comics Executive Editor Chris Conroy during an appearance at ComicsPRO. "As I think you all know, we are very mindful about keeping the Absolute Universe sort of at the size it is, keeping it easy to understand, keeping it easy to onboard," Conroy said at the time.

"We will have one other thing this year. It's the first Absolute Universe event. This will be in Q4. We're going to do it our way, the Absolute way." Conroy went on to note that the Absolute crossover event will not derail any specific storylines being told in any of the line's flagship titles, even comparing it to the Absolute Evil #1 one-shot in terms of how it will expand the Absolute Universe as a whole.

"You're gonna be very excited to see what we can do with the canvas of a full-event miniseries," Conroy added. "This is going to tie the stories together in a way that I think people are going to get really, really, really pumped about. That is all I can say about it for now, but it is coming in a big way."

Currently, fans are just weeks away from the finale of one of their favorite series with the impending release of Absolute Martian Manhunter #12 on June 17. The issue will close out writer Deniz Camp and artist Javier Rodríguez's bestselling series in what DC Comics promises will be an epic fashion. As noted by the official solicit synopsis for Absolute Martian Manhunter #12, "It all comes together here: green and white, life and death, husbands and wives, fathers and sons, free will and fate, crime and punishment."

The Justice League, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman and Martian Manhunter, pose together on the Justice League of America Vol. 1 comic cover.
