DC Comics writer Tom King has shared adorable art featuring Wonder Woman's daughter, Trinity. The unlettered artwork appears in the character's latest comic book one-shot special and teases her adventures in a new solo series.
"Lizzies and their Brothers/Corgis," King wrote in the Instagram post where he shared the unlettered artwork by Belen Ortega. The piece shows Wonder Woman's daughter Trinity surrounded by playful dogs wearing costumes of other DC superheroes, including Batman and Robin and the Superman family. On the couch sits the three versions of Trinity, who will appear in King's upcoming Wonder Woman spin-off comic. The story explores a toddler, middle-grader and older teenager version of Trinity which were previously seen in the character's stories.
In the new series starring Trinity, it seems that all three versions of the character will come together to take on a mission that will rip through the threads of reality as all three time-split versions of the characters co-exist. Each iteration will likely wield a different Lasso of Fate, with one in silver, gold and black. A one-shot comic titled Trinity Special: World's Finest #1 recently went on sale and gave fans a first look at what will come in the upcoming solo series.
Wonder Woman's Daughter Takes DC's Comic World By Storm
The character of Elizabeth "Lizzie" Marston Prince, code name Trinity, debuted in 2023's Wonder Woman #800. The character was created by Tom King and Daniel Sampere as the daughter of Wonder Woman from a possible future and the leader of the Justice League. The character's name is a nod to the creator of Wonder Woman, William Moulton Marston, with Trinity's first name referencing Marston's wife Elizabeth, who greatly influenced Wonder Woman.
Since her debut in Wonder Woman #800, Trinity has gone on to appear in the main Wonder Woman comics numerous times while also getting her own special, Trinity Special #1, in January 2024. A follow-up one-shot, Trinity Special: World's Finest #1, was released earlier this month. The character, who comes from the future, will soon be born in Wonder Woman's current continuity in Wonder Woman #14 -- finally showing her origin ahead of her upcoming solo series.
Trinity Special: World's Finest #1 is available now from DC Comics.
