The following contains major spoilers for Namor #6, on sale now from Marvel Comics.
Namor is about to wage a one-person war against every single kingdom at the bottom of the sea.
After months of fighting desperately to stave off the war that was ready to break out over his old, now vacant throne, the titular hero of Namor #6 has finally overcome the ghosts of his past that threatened his very life. All the while, the rulers of the seven kingdoms that have vied for the throne of Atlantis have finally reached the point where declarations of war are no longer a matter of theory. Unfortunately for them, in defeating the Orphan King's undying thralls, Namor has also taken the opportunity to reclaim his mighty trident, and with it not even seven separate armies can stand in his way.

While Atlantis has graced the pages of Marvel Comics since the late 1930s, its modern incarnation didn't make its debut until 1963's Fantastic Four Annual #1 in Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's opening story, "Sub-Mariner Versus the Human Race!" This story introduced both Atlantis and its then reigning emperor, Namor McKenzie, better known as the Sub-Mariner. Although Namor's earliest appearance set up a fantastical vision for Atlantis going forward, the sprawling, ancient history of this undersea society would take decades to fully explore.
Over twenty thousand years ago, Atlantis was a bustling hub of activity, largely lorded over by various hunter, warriors, and barbarians. Eventually, Atlantis would come into its own as an empire rather than a minor city. Tragically, Atlantis fell victim to the Great Cataclysm that saw the Deviants of Earth wage war against the Second Celestial Host, whose cosmic brethren responded with a nuclear assault that rocked the entire planet and left the whole of Atlantis to sink beneath the sea. Over the next thousand years, Atlantis was all but forgotten by the rest of the world, while the survivors of its destruction had no clue that an entirely new species of undersea humanoids were in the process of repurposing their old home.

All-New Venom Rules out Most Popular Candidate
One of the key suspects in the mystery at the heart of Marvel's All-New Venom has officially been ruled out, but it doesn't make things any better.
Following 2021's "World War She-Hulk" event that played out in the pages of Avengers by Jason Aaron and Javier Garrón, Namor was all but completely shunned by many of his people, leaving him to lose his throne as their king. This drew the attention of the Seven Kingdoms, bands of Atlanteans led by various would-be despots and villains, whose rulers all have their own plans for Atlantis should they successfully claim the throne for themselves. These include the Warlords of Lemuria, the Warriors of the Secret Seas, the Science Lords of Old Atlantis, the Army of the Beast King, the Skarka led by the infamous Attuma, the horrifying Octomagi, and the Army of the Risen Dead led by their ominous Orphan King.
