Barely three months into 2025, we already have a best-selling comic book of the year contender; one performing so well, it is going to be hard to beat. Unsurprisingly, Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee's hotly-anticipated Batman #158, which marks the start of their Hush sequel story arc, already has over 400,000 orders from comic book stores.
DC Comics took to Bluesky to share the impressive Batman: H2SH numbers. "Congratulations to Jeph Loeb, @jimlee.bsky.social, Scott Williams, @sinccolor.bsky.social, @richstarkings.bsky.social, and our amazing variant cover artists for more than 400,000 copies ordered of BATMAN #158, chapter one of "H2SH"!" the publisher wrote. DC thanked the retailers who ordered Batman #158 and encouraged fans to pick it up when it debuts on March 26. DC incentivized retailers to purchase copies in large amounts with ratio variants, including 1:25, 1:50, 1:100,1:250, and two signed 1:608 variants. Comic stores that ordered a thousand copies received a 1:1000 variant signed by the creators Loeb and Lee.
