Cable in the future now has a wife named Hope, and starts raising the still-unnamed baby, fighting off various assassins.
By the end, Cable’s wife is killed and decides, at last, to give the little girl the same name: Hope.
Meanwhile in the present Bishop is captured by X-Force and tells them that he has to kill the child. Scott and Emma psychically torture him for more information.
Bishop escapes, but X-Force have enough info to pursue him and help save Hope.
These are really solid comics. Great reads, despite that not much happens across this four-issue span.
Also, the cover to issue #9 is a tribute to the classic Incredible Hulk Special.
