The comic book world has recently been taken by storm by the rise of the "blind bag" variant. Blind bags are sealed bags containing a comic book where you don't know what cover you are getting inside the bag. You have a chance of getting very rare variants, but either way, you're getting some sort of different cover for the comic book. Companies have been split on charging more for the blind bags (like DC did with its blind bags for Batman #1 and DC KO #1) and charging you regular price (IDW with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #13 and Marvel with Ultimate Endgame #1), but now Dynamite Entertainment is going all-in on a blind bag program for its line of Warner Bros. animated program, only these are BIG blind bags, meaning that the price is a lot higher, as well. However, the comic books that are included are also more expensive, as well.

The new blind bags are now available on Kickstarter in a joint project between Dynamite and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP).

What will be in these Dynamite Warner Bros. animated comic blind bags?

The blind bags will each include five different comic books. The first, and the major selling point of the bag, is a metal or holofoil variant cover specifically created for this event by a variety of top-level comic book artists (some of the artists included are Mike Mignola, Mark Spears, David Nakayama, Jenny Frison, Jae Lee, Manix, Lucio Parrillo, Michael Cho, Francesco Mattina, Tom Raney, Filipe Massafera, Karen Darboe, Leonardo Romero, Derrick Chew, Christian Ward, and Ben Oliver).

Second, they will include one of eight new homage variant covers drawn by Ken Haeser starring characters from Space Ghost, Jonny Quest, The Powerpuff Girls, ThunderCats, SilverHawks, The Herculoids (and possibly more WB animated characters). Third, a Dynamite back issue that Dynamite head Nick Barucci has personally signed (the comic will be stamped and numbered). Fourth, a blank sketch cover from a comic book based on one of those WB properties (and randomly inserted will be 15 covers with an artist having done a drawing on one of those blank covers, including some by Haeser himself). Finally, a Supernatural ashcan comic book promoting the new Supernatural series from Dynamite that launches this week.

How much will these blind bags cost?

The main mystery bag will be $100. There are also different options where you can get different comics included for an extra charge. For instance, if you want to have a GUARANTEED drawing on the sketch cover in your mystery bag, Dynamite will have that available for $150. Also, Dynamite plans to offer a new version of this Blind Bag in Spring 2026, and that will be $125, but they are allowing people to pre-order that one along with this current one, and lock in a price of $195 for both bags. And you can lock in the equivalent of the Spring 2026 Blind Bag with the guaranteed sketch cover along with the guaranteed sketch cover from this listing (which is $150) for $295.

Finally, there are also offerings that include specific original art on connection variant covers that go for $800 (you can pick the property, like Space Ghost, Herculoids, Silverhawks, or Jonny Quest). Finally, for $1500, you can own the original art for Haeser's aforementioned new homage variant covers.
