Daredevil: Born Again Trailer Introduces MCU's New White Tiger

Daredevil: Born Again fans just got their first real look at the Marvel Cinematic Universe's next White Tiger. The first look comes via a new trailer for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. In the trailer, Camila Rodriguez's Angela Del Toro is seen standing behind Deborah Ann Woll's Karen Page as an unseen threat moves towards them.

Notably, Rodriguez's character appears to be wearing a black-and-white outfit almost identical to the one worn by the previous White Tiger, Hector Ayala (Kamar de los Reyes), in Season 1. The White Tiger is a classic Marvel Comics mantle who, in Daredevil: Born Again, Season 1, was defended by Matt Murdock in court before being gunned down by a corrupt police officer.

This kicked off Daredevil's quest to root out the corrupt officers and agents at the heart of the Anti-Vigilante Task Force put together by Vincent D'Onofrio's Mayor Wilson Fisk. Before long, Daredevil and Jon Bernthal's Punisher had effectively destroyed the AVTF in its entirety, ultimately leaving the officer who killed Ayala to suffer an apartment building explosion.

In Marvel Comics, Angela Del Toro does indeed take up the mantle of White Tiger following her uncle's tragic death. Unfortunately, Angela's tenure as the White Tiger came to an end when she was corrupted by the ancient, undying ninja death cult known as The Hand, leaving her aunt and Hector's sister, Ava Ayala, to take up the mantle in her stead.

What Can Fans Expect from Daredevil: Born Again Season 2?

With the premiere of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 only weeks away, fans are eagerly awaiting the next season of their favorite series and all the pulse-pounding action it has in store for them. In February, showrunner Dario Scadapane discussed the differences between Season 1 and Season 2, noting, "The task of season one was a really sick kind of fun."

"They'd gone in a direction where it was a different kind of show. It was much more of a procedural, much more focused on the courtroom. We had a lot of that footage and kind of had to do this cobbled-together Frankenstein." Scardapane went on to explain, "But by landing really strongly at the beginning and end with an idea of. This is what the show wants to be, this is what the show is,' we were able to kick the narrative into the second season relatively unfettered."

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 premieres on Disney+ on March 24.
