Trailer Watch: ‘The Furious’ (2026)

I do sometimes get over-hyped when I see a martial arts trailer, only to be disappointed when I see the film, looking at you Striking Rescue. But I have been right before, and I feel like The Furious might make it on that must-watch list.  

Boasting several actors from the classic The Raid movies, The Furious runs back the trope that will always motivate a toxic male:

After the daughter of Wang Wei is kidnapped by a criminal network and he receives no help from the corrupt police, Wei sets out on a rampage to find her himself. His only ally is Navin – a relentless journalist whose wife has mysteriously disappeared. Fueled by a furious vengeance, the unlikely duo ruthlessly fights against the kidnappers in this explosive martial arts showdown.

Simple and sweet.

The trailer definitely gives The Raid vibes and that feels intentional from director Kenji Tanigaki, and I’m not mad about it! After making the round during Sundance last year, The Furious sits at 100% on that one website.
