The official solicit synopsis for He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: The Wings of Fate #1 from Dark Horse Comics reads, "In the aftermath of Skeletor's siege on Eternos, a down-and-out refugee gives sanctuary to a mysterious, injured falcon. Now, to save her life, he must embark upon a perilous journey through the Mystic Mountains and seek aid from the storied inhabitants of the realm of Avion."

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: The Wings of Fate #1 will mark the first tie-in comic book release for the upcoming Masters of the Universe feature film from Amazon MGM, Mattel Studios, and Escape Artsists. The film, currently slated for release on June 5, Masters of the Universe stars Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam Glenn of Eternia, better known as the mystically empowered hero He-Man.

He-Man Is Making The Leap Into Live Action

Alongside Galitzine, Masters of the Universe stars Camila Mendes as Teela, Idris Elba as Man-At-Arms, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Fisto, Jared Leto as Skeletor, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, and Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops. Rounding out the core cast of Masters of the Universe are Charlotte Riley, James Purefoy, and Morena Baccarin in the roles of Queen Marlena, King Randor, and the Sorceress, respectively.

It was widely reported that, while updated to a point, the film boasts plenty of costumes and accoutrements that are accurate to their counterparts from the classic '80s He-Man and the Masters of the Universe cartoon series.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: The Wings of Fate #1 from Dark Horse Comics goes on sale June 10. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is currently slated to arrive in theaters on June 5.
