DC and Marvel unveil digital exclusive crossover comics

Following Marvel’s sold-out Deadpool/Batman #1 comic book crossover one-shot and just ahead of Batman/Deadpool #1 from DC next week, today both publishers announced digital exclusive crossover comics available According to the press release “each webcomic will be free-to-read, with registration, for 30 days before moving behind their respective paywalls, and both DC and Marvel are releasing these new stories formatted for vertical scroll.”

First up is The Flash/Fantastic Four on DC Universe Infinite as part of the DC GO! imprint from the creative team of writer Jeremy Adams and artist Adrián Gutiérrez, which sees “Barry Allen and the Fantastic Four tear through the Speed Force, encountering heroes and villains across time in a bid to stop Gorilla Grodd’s quest for mental domination.”

Meanwhile, over at the House of Ideas Thor/Shazam from writer Al Ewing and artist Jethro Morales sees Donald Blake and Billy Batson team up to recover their respective stolen powers of thunder.

The new THOR/SHAZAM! Infinity Comics story will be available on Marvel Unlimited, Marvel’s digital comics subscription service, to all new and existing subscribers. For a limited time, from now until valid until 12/17/2025 11:59 PM ET, fans can redeem a digital copy of this brand-new crossover story by using code CROSSOVER25 at Marvel.com/redeem. 

In celebration of this new digital crossover initiative, DC and Marvel will offer each of their subscribers in the U.S. an exclusive code for a 30-day free trial to each other’s subscription service, DC Universe Infinite (“DCUI”) and Marvel Unlimited. DCUI paid subscribers who are not current Marvel Unlimited subscribers will be offered a trial of the Marvel Unlimited Monthly Plan, and Marvel Unlimited paid subscribers who are not current DCUI subscribers will be offered a trial of the DCUI Ultra Monthly Plan. Current subscribers of either of the subscription services will be sent an email with their unique code. New subscribers need to sign up before 12/17/25 to receive their free trial code. According to the press release, “two more crossover webcomics, one from each publisher, are slated for digital-first vertical-scroll releases in 2026. Details on these webcomics will be revealed in the coming months.”
