DC Comics is going All-In all over again, and this time they're betting on Absolute Evil.

Per a press release from DC Comics, this October will mark a major turning point for the Absolute Universe, and it all begins with Absolute Evil #1. This upcoming one-shot is written by Al Ewing and features art by Giuseppe Camuncoli and Stefano Nesi. The issue will chart the rise of villainy in the Absolute Universe, with the likes of Ra’s al Ghul, Veronica Cale, Hector Hammond, Elenore Thawne, and the Joker finally coming together as a united front, although not one without an infinite potential for profound betrayal from within its very ranks.

Absolute Evil #1 Will Set The Stage for Even More Absolute Titles

DC Comics promises that Absolute Evil #1 will feature "the introduction of not one but two major Absolute characters who will change the course of the Absolute Universe in its second year, and is unmissable for all fans of this red-hot publishing line!" Following Absolute Evil #1 will be five landmark issues of some of the Absolute Universe's biggest titles and the release of Absolute Batman 2025 Annual #1.

Alongside the release of Absolute Evil #1 on October 1, fans can look forward to the releases of Absolute Superman #12 by writer Jason Aaron and artist Rafa Sandoval, as well as Absolute Green Lantern #7 by writer Al Ewing and artist Jahnoy Lindsay. On October 8, Absolute Flash #8 by writer Jeff Lemire and artist Travis Moore will chart the origins of Barry Allen's experimental technology, which threatens to challenge "the foundation of the Absolute Universe itself." October 8 will also mark the introduction of the Absolute Catwoman in the pages of Absolute Batman #13 by writer Scott Snyder and artist Nick Dragotta.

On October 22, Absolute Wonder Woman #13 by writer Kelly Thompson and artist Matías Bergara will arrive on comic book store shelves everywhere to drop readers into the middle of Gateway City, where "Diana uncovers lost history as Barbara reveals fragments of the myth of the Amazons. But as supernatural attacks erupt across the globe, Diana and Etta race to find a pattern—only to discover that the answer strikes closer than imagined." October 29 will mark the final Absolute Universe release of the month in the form of Absolute Batman 2025 Annual #1, which will feature numerous stories written and illustrated by creators including Daniel Warren Johnson, James Harren, and Meredith McClaren.

Marvel And New York City Just Honored Jack Kirby In the Coolest Way

Marvel Comics teams up with New York City to cement a new place where fans can celebrate the life and legacy of the legendary Jack Kirby.

Absolute Batman writer Scott Snyder gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at character concept art for Absolute Catwoman via a set of images posted to social media on July 16. The images feature a better look at the Absolute Catwoman's profile than fans can glimpse on the cover of Absolute Batman #13, which is decidedly more feline in nature than what readers are used to seeing from the character. The cat-like face mask seems to be a part of the one-piece bodysuit that the Absolute Catwoman wears, presumably apart from the reflective dome that covers her face in much the same way as the Absolute Black Mask and his cronies appeared earlier on in Absolute Batman.
