DC Comics' Absolute Harley Quinn is making her comic book cover debut, and fans couldn't be more excited about it.

Per a recent Twitter post from fan page DC Film News, the recently released Harley Quinn of the Absolute Universe is set to make her comic book cover debut in just a few weeks with the release of Absolute Batman #14. The Absolute Harley Quinn will appear on one of the issue's variant covers, as illustrated by critically acclaimed artist Derrick Chew.

Created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm for Batman: The Animated Series, Harleen Quinzel, better known as Harley Quinn, made her debut in the 1992 episode "Joker's Favor." While Harley Quinn was introduced as the cunning and lethal harlequin-themed sidekick of the Joker, it wasn't long before her origin as a former Arkham psychiatrist who became dangerously obsessed with her own patient was revealed. In the year since, Harley Quinn has gone on to become an indelible part of nearly every version of the DC Universe, which now includes the treacherous landscape of the Absolute Universe.

The Absolute Harley Quinn was first seen just weeks ago with the release of Absolute Batman #13 (by Scott Snyder, Nick Dragotta, Frank Martin, and Clayton Cowles). Rather than working with the Joker, however, the Harley Quinn of the Absolute Universe is quite possibly one of the biggest threats there is to the villain's operation. As the leader of the Red Hood Gang, this Harley Quinn has a seemingly endless number of loyal soldiers who are more than willing to fight to the end if it means seeing their mission succeed. Better yet, Harley has her own reasons for wanting to see the Joker's Ark M facility burn to the ground, and she has no problem lending Batman whatever help he needs to make that happen.

There's More To Come From DC's Absolute Universe

As excited as fans might be about the release of Absolute Batman #14, which is set to include the titular antihero's final confrontation with the Absolute Bane, they will have to wait longer than expected before they can snag a copy for themselves, albeit for one particularly good reason. Rather than arriving in comic book stores on November 12 as originally intended, Absolute Batman #14 will now be available on November 26. As explained in an October 29 social media post from Absolute Batman writer Scott Snyder, "[Artist] Nick [Dragotta] and I added 5 extra pages to the final fight [with] Bane. We tried a version where we squeezed it in at 20 pages, but it just felt cramped and DC was awesome about giving us extra space and time. Hope you love it."

Absolute Batman #14 goes on sale November 26 from DC Comics.
