One of the most respected names in his field, he is also a diehard enthusiast of all things comics, anime, gaming and movies — thriving in spaces where discussions involving those or similar topics reign supreme.

There's no denying the fact DC Comics has a hit on its hands, no pun intended (maybe), with the launch of the DC KO series. The tournament of the gods is off to a blazing-hot start, and making plenty of headlines as heroes like Superman unveil their destructive weapon of choice, and Wonder Woman gets a completely new redesign that is both eye-popping and reminiscent of a Mortal Kombat character.

This is all to say that news of a second printing felt inevitable, and that time has arrived for the DC KO series. A first look at the variant covers below easily sends chills down the spine of those who have already indulged in the first several installments, knowing exactly how intense the fights truly are and what's at stake in them — allpower and the ability to rewrite reality and the power to resurrect the dead in the face of Darkseid attempting to create a new Apokolips.

But for those new to the series and need to play a bit of catch-up, CBR has you covered with not only the chronology of those already released but, and this helps the incumbent readers as well, also the complete calendar of releases through Spring 2026; and, as you can see below, there will be an onslaught of action from now until then laced with plot twists and upsets that will shake the very core of the tournament and balance of power within it.

DC Is Going for the KO!

As announced officially by DC ahead of Halloween weekend, DC KO #1 (Scott Snyder, Javi Fernández) is indeed getting a second printing — a variant cover by Dan Mora, acetone overlay, that features the three destroyers of Darkseid: Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman — set to arrive in local comic book shops on November 26, due to extreme demand and sellout of the first printing. The same applies for Justice League: The Omega Act Special #1, the prologue to DC KO #1, and Titans #28.

In all, the DC KO tournament boasts a total of 32 entrants willing to die to obtain the Heart of Apokolips, and some have already, as death is certain for those who can't claim victory in the bracket of brutality. By the time it's all said-and-done, there will only be one standing atop the pile of bodies and rubble, and collectors will be the beneficiary of not only an epic showdown, but also some really badass covers.

DC KO is now available in local comic shops and on DC Universe Infinite (via subscription).
