DC Comics has unveiled its first preview of its biggest Batman story in years. Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee's upcoming sequel to Batman: Hush has received an exciting look with preview pages, cover art and much more.

Dubbed by the publisher as 'H2SH', the new Hush story arc will take place over Batman #158-163, with the first part releasing on March 26. Loeb and Lee collaborate with Scott Williams, Alex Sinclair and Richard Starkings, and new preview pages of their work have been released ahead of the issue going on sale. DC has also shared an additional sneak peek into Batman #159, teasing more twists and turns as the Hush sequel develops.

The preview pages of Batman #158 show The Dark Knight swooping in and facing off against The Joker, with the iconic villain landing a brutal crowbar hit to Batman's face. Their scuffle sees Batman falling into the water, where vicious fish bite and tear at him. Meanwhile, The Joker finds himself in trouble, too. Later, back at his headquarters, Bruce Wayne meets up with other members of the Bat Family, appearing to discuss their next move.

The first look at Batman #159 doesn't have the same intense action, but instead is much more emotional. As Batman drives by Park Row, he appears to have a flashback to the murder of his parents, Thomas and Martha Wayne. DC's solicit for Batman #159 teases Bruce's emotional turmoil: "After the shocking events of the last issue, Batman must make the hardest decision of his life."

Hush Sequel Marks the End of Fan-Favorite Writer's Batman Run

Last year at New York Comic Con, it was announced that Jim Lee, Jeph Loeb, Scott Williams and Alex Sinclair would reunite for Hush 2 across the pages of DC's main Batman series. The original Hush storyline ran from October 2002–September 2003 and saw a mysterious stalker sabotaging Batman. Many iconic Batman villains joined the story with guest appearances, as well as numerous members of the Bat Family and Superman.

But some time in the spring I got the itch in the back of my brain to wrap things up. I’m super proud of our final story." Zdarsky's final issue, Batman #157, is available now.
