Over the weekend, the trailer for Disney’s Snow White leaked online last week before its official release. Surprisingly, one former Disney employee hopped onto social media to share his thoughts. Jim Shull, a former Disney Imagineer who worked for the studio for almost 30 years, had this to day about the trailer his former employer’s live-action retelling of their classic tale.
She looks like a brat. I am rooting for the evil queen in this movie.

“The trailer for Snow White is unwatchable. Pinocchio was directly released to Disney+ and that film starred Tom Hanks,” he posted. Others concurred.
It would be nice if Disney could come up with something original that wasn’t full of DEI/alphabet mafia garbage. Everything they have made lately has been a steaming pile of crap. Walt is rolling in his grace so fast if he were a propeller he could make a plane take off…

The trailer features actress Rachel Zegler as Snow White and Gal Gadot as the evil queen. Snow White, like many of Disney’s so-called “live-action” remakes, appears to rely extensively on digital effects, particularly the seven dwarfs, who look to be fully digitally created. Snow White continues to experience negative publicity ahead of its March premiere in theaters.
The trailer did not help their cause.
She is so off putting. She opens that claptrap and the off putting becomes avoidance at all costs. Horrible casting and horrible advice about the dwarves.

Actress Rachel Zegler has repeatedly tarnished her shining star, from shared her distaste for the classic Snow White store, making impetuous demands about how she should be compensated, trolling her co-star, bashing Trump voters, and just constantly displaying an insufferable sense of entitlement.
She could at least ACT like she cares about the material and the legacy. That is her job, afterall.

None of this can be good for the box office Disney was hoping for with this movie, which has already had numerous reshoots. Forbes revealed earlier this month that Snow White’s budget was nearly $270 million, and that was at the end of 2023, which puts massive pressure on the film to become a box office success. But factoring in marketing costs, the movie needs to earn in excess of $500 million worldwide just to break even.
