Epic Illustrated v1 #26, 1984 - "The Last Galactus Story" begins with his herald Nova traversing the galaxies and happening upon a decimated planet. There are the ruins of a highly technological civilization, but no remnants of any of the residents. John Byrne both writes and illustrates this nine-part saga. His superb drawings are augmented by Terry Austin's inks. Each page is carefully composed to suggest both height and scale when needed.
